Après 2 ans de développement, le groupe de recherche du professeur Heinrich Bülthoff de l'institut Max Planck a dévoilé son prototype de simulateur de réalité virtuelle cablés. CableRobot Simulator dispose de 8 cables métaliques tendus à 1,4 tonnes ce qui rend ces mouvements aussi rapide, précis et sans a-coup.

After 2 years of development, the research group of Prof. Heinrich Bülthoff from the Max Planck Institute unveiled its wired virtual reality simulator prototype. CableRobot Simulator has 8 metallic cables stretched to 1.4 tons making these moves as fast, accurate and without a jerk.

Afin d'aider les bébés grands prématurés, les scientifiques ont testé un ventre artificiel sur des agneaux. Pendant 4 semaines, les 8 fétus ont grandi normalement jusqu'à leur 2ième naissance. Le liquide à l'intérieur de la poche, appelé biobag, et le cordon ombilical connecté à un dispositif fournissant oxygène et nutriment, recréent les mêmes conditions que dans le ventre marternel.
