Depuis cette région est devenu un no man's land et en quelques sortes une région protégée depuis 30 ans de l'empreinte humaine. La nature a complètement repris ses droits et la rivière Pripiat regorge maintenant de carpes et de poissons chat ayant des tailles gigantesques ....

Des habitants en Inde ont porté secours à un léopard sauvage maladroit. Ce dernier était tombé dans leur puit, leur unique point d'eau. Après 2 heures d'efforts, la dernière tentative pour sortir fut la bonne.

Il faut toujours rester très prudent lors de promenades en foret car il est toujours possible de tomber sur une bète sauvage. Fort heureusement, la rencontre avec un ours est peu probable, mais voici la mésaventure de 2 promeneurs venus se promener. Un ours un peu taquin les a suivi. Cette balade forestière s'est donc terminée en marathon forcé pour les 2 amis. heureusement aucun blessé n'est à déplorer.
