C'est le grand jour et le courageux volontaire s'élance sur la pente. Il aborde la rampe et se plante littéralement. Les planches formant la rampe étaient peut être assez souple pour les courber mais pas suffisament épaisses pour supporte la charge. Comme quoi, quelques connaissances en résistance des matériaux leurs auraient évité cet echec.
